Manly is a beach town on the ocean about 30 minutes northeast of Sydney.  That's where Loral people have stayed in the past when working at Optus, but my coworker who had been to the area before picked our hotel in North Sydney.  After the long week of work, we finished early Friday and stopped by Manly on our way back to the hotel.

Manly is very nice, there's a promenade running all along the beach where you can walk, and lots of hotels and restaurants and shops (tourist and otherwise).  In this picture of the main beach in Manly, there was a group of kids whose surfing class had just ended and they were coming out of the water.  The water is the Pacific Ocean, by the way.
