North Sydney waterfront

Friday night I took a walk down from our hotel to the waterfront and walked along the water.  It was very pleasant, with beautiful views.  Coming back was a pain, though, it was a long, steep climb up steps and small streets back up to my hotel.

First, one more picture from my room, before the sun set.

This picture was taken from a spot straight down to the water from my hotel.

This is after I had walked a bit, looking back at my hotel.  The tallest building on the left side of the picture is an Optus office building, then to the right (and overlapping) of that with a blue sign is a Phillips building, then the three shorter buildings overlapping each other with red signs are Cisco, something else, and my hotel.  I thought our camera did a very nice job with this shot.

Here is a view of the bridge with downtown behind it.

Another view of downtown, after I had walked under the bridge to the other side.

This is one of the entrances to Luna Park.  Inviting, eh?

Finally, here's one of two ferries that stopped as I was walking by.  I thought it was neat that the ferry system is very extensive in Sydney, there are harbor cruises, and many people use them to commute.  Much more pleasant than being stuck in traffic.
