By the time I got to Manly on Monday evening it was already dark.  Here's that same main beach, except at night this time.

And here's the walkway along the beach.

I took this picture of the odd-looking tower at Sydney airport from my plane.  I wonder if the spiral section is some kind of emergency escape stairs or chute or something.

On my way home...

Coming into SFO we crossed over the peninsula around Palo Alto and turned north.  In the upper left quadrant of this picture you can see Stanford pretty well.  There's a white vertical spike that is the clock tower, and just above and to the right of that you can see the quad.  The Stanford barn must be in there somewhere near the top left of the picture, but I wasn't quite able to make it out.
