Below are some pictures from the Grand National Rodeo back in 1997,
at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. I'm not really into rodeos, but
I enjoyed the barrel racing and the team penning a lot.
Here's a barrel racing shot that came out kind of cool.
This guy was pretty impressive.
At the end of the first night, the opening ceremonies, they had all
of the drill teams come out at once. I've never seen so many horses
together in one arena! There was actually some commotion here and
there, from horses who were unhappy about being squeezed together so close
with other horses they didn't like, but nothing serious.
Here's a picture of Shatana from Halloween 1997 that I just threw in
because it was around the same time as the Grand National.
